Well he would, wouldn't he. He, like all leaders of religion have a vested interest in keeping the 'faithful' - faithful. Without them they would be out of a very cushy number. Everything they preach and assure us about is mumbojumbo. Religions have been responsible for more wars and deaths in this world than ANY other thing since time began.

Having heard from lots of interviewees today on the TV I cannot say that any of them presented a balanced view. Trouble is that they are all so frightened of a world where THEY have to make real decisions that they pass the buck on to anyone they think can do it for the. Donate to a charity and I am absolved of responsibility.........Well I have news for them, most of what they donate is being used as bribes and good living by the minority in the places that need the help. And your religious and pacifist organisations are letting it happen because they are 'turning the other cheek'.

Get real! How can candles, incense, big, cold buildings and crossing yourself while mumbling a few words parrot fashion keep you safe and well? Being a realist and helping your fellow is what counts.

Anyone posting supportive posts anywhere or placing flowers where he committed suicide should be ashamed to draw breath. As for anti police comments, they should think themselves lucky they don't live in a police state like China or Iran.

The first police marksman on the scene should have given this nasty piece of work ONE chance to put down his shotgun and surrender. After that the second action should have been to kill him outright, not waste 6 hours talking to the bastard.

As for complaints by the family about the way the outcome was reached - well it's only to be expected from that sort.

Unite! What a joke........... The only think this lacklustre bunch of jobs-worth idiots can do is oppose anything and everything. No constructive offerings just out and out conflict. Soon these nasty little sods will be the only ones with a pay packet and the biggest problem is that the 'ordinary' members of these unions are too bloody stupid to see what is happening.

Don't know about you but I am SICK AND TIRED of the crap that is being pumped out by the Political Parties, The Media, The Hangers On, The Pollsters and "Experts"................

Seems to me that there are only a few points that need to be addressed.

1) Government Spending. Well, it's time to get back to basics. government needs to support the Country NOT other Countries. Stop giving money to the corrupt in overseas aid. When everyone in the UK is looked after 100% THEN and ONLY then shoul;d we start looking at overseas aid.

2) Stop supporting the arts, lesbian mothers, gay marriages, the bloody Church and all the non essential things that don't support the running of the Country. If people are interested in Damien Hirst and other 'artists 'then they will survive without help from the government. If they don't then they weren't that good anyway!

3) Stop all of these bloody committees from wasting all the money they can get their hands on.
MAKE ANYONE WHO SPENDS PUBLIC MONEY ACCOUNTABLE!

Don't let the sods get away with your money...............hold them to account NOW and keep them there.

Pope Benedict says Catholics must 'do penance'

Pope Benedict XVI has called on Roman Catholics to "do penance" for their sins, an apparent reference to the recent child sexual abuse scandal.

Talk about 'lets not deal with this'! Not satisfied with taking from the poor and making themselves the rich, they have the affront to play with the feelings of others.

Religion was fine in the dark and middle ages when the majority of the populace were uneducated but in all the time since 'Creation' happened, the only consistent thing that religions - and that covers ALL RELIGIONS - can boast is that they have been responsible for more wars, more suffering and more corruption than the rest of humanity put together.

I hate to see the 'poor' clergy in their gold and silk robes, mumbo jumboing about the place holding forth on subjects that they know nothing about. They try and impose their beliefs on others by lying, cheating and double dealing, trying to save their miserable skins and their power.

My experience of Christianity is that the more 'Christian' people are the bigger their 'Unchristian' actions' tend to be.

Leave me ALONE to be a humanist and lead my life in the knowledge that I did right by others and expected the same in return.

Don't accuse me of blasphemy until you can PROVE that your God exists OK?

And while you are about it, stop trying to convert others to your way of thinking. Let them make up their own minds.........................

If you break the laws of another country - no matter how much you may disagree with them - why should you be surprised if you are prosecuted and found guilty.

The Government fund the armed forces...............

The Government commit our forces to conflicts ...........

The Government do not give our armed forces the resources that they need to fight in these conflicts.........

The Government pay lip service to the armed forces who fight and die in these conflicts.......

The Government ALWAYS take the credit for the successes that are hard won BY our armed forces.........

No politician should be allowed to have ANY say in ANYTHING to do with our armed forces UNLESS they have served themselves..............

The Government should be bloody ashamed at their lack of support for the armed forces who have to rely on so many charitable institutions to support them because the bloody Government don't....................

Our Armed Forces achieve the most incredible things IN SPITE of the Government.........

Thank goodness for the Royal British Legion and all the other charitable organisations that look after our military personnel in need....................

WHAT:-
I intend to comment on anything and everything that makes me feel that the powers that be have missed the whole point. Some will agree - some will not - and some will waste their time posting irrelevances that the have read or seen in the tabloid press and Sky news! I will be posting MY thoughts - no one else's - agree or dissagree - I couldn't care less!

WHY:-
Basically because I am so fed up with the rubbish that is talked/printed/posted by so many idiots who have no idea about the subjects that they comment on. It is also the case that the obvious is not normally PC and so is swept under the carpet by those with some power. I intend to tell it as I see it - warts and all!!
